EdenPure systems are mostly hybrid air purifiers that combine HEPA filtration with ionization and photo catalytic oxidation technology. They also have an active purification model that cleans the air without filtration. These air cleaners cover between 1000 and 3000 square feet. They are designed to cover whole home environments. They cost between 8.3 and 66 cents per square foot of air cleaned per year.
EdenPure has become a known brand specifically for its heaters. But its air purifiers also have great quality and offer great value. These purifiers are designed to address multiple areas of air quality concern from particle pollution to chemical gas pollution. They demonstrate a serious attempt to offer an all-in-one solution. No all-in-one solution will be perfect and some are better than others. But these purifiers do what they are designed to do and provide great value. Customers are generally satisfied with performance.
The cost to benefit value is not great on the hybrid air purifier models. The best Edenpure model, in our opinion, is the G-7 Wholehouse purifier. It uses no filtration, but combines ozone, ionization, and photo catalytic oxidation to address particle, odor, gas, and germ pollution. It does it at a cost of 8.3 cents per square foot of air cleaned per year. The cost to value benefit is excellent. The hybrid models do not offer good value and there are other hybrid models in the market that will offer an equally good or better return on investment.
The real concern with Edenpure air purifiers is the one year warranty which fails to inspire confidence in a product that retails between $302.00 and $699.00. This suggests that these air purifiers will need to be replaced every few years. The good news is that this is factored into the 8.3 cent per square foot cost for the G-7 Wholehouse system. It would seem that the warranty has a minimal effect on the value of the G-7 although it may raise more concerns for the hybrid systems which do not offer competitive marketplace value.
The reality is that you could combine the G-7 Wholehouse purifier with one of the top-tier filtration systems and still have a better cost to benefit value with those two systems, than if you invested in a single hybrid Edenpure system. That would give you a truly comprehensive purification solution to combat poor indoor air quality.
